Peter Banks
Peter Banks makes three-dimensional structures with photographic imagery. Often the photos are life-size and are re-introduced to the people, places or things they represent. Sometimes they are small enough to make three-dimensional games or puzzles – sculptures to be played with. Sometimes they are large scale installations made specifically for public spaces or galleries. They are concerned with change and memory, with concealment and exposure, with reality and an illusion of reality. They try to use photographs to help us to view familiar things in a new way. The images here can only offer a glimpse. www.peterbanksphotoworks.co.uk
