Most of the time, the car is an unphotographed presence. In a landscape, it is probably close at hand but undocumented. This lack of photographic attention parallels a general lack of attention Like clean water, a car is only noticed when its gone.

Instead of landscape without cars, I have photographed cars with landscaping. We have subdued and distanced ourselves from nature due to cars and other technologies.
