This is a selection of work shot on a 35mm point and shoot camera. The series explores the idea of personal solitude and privacy incorporating ordinary people in mundane situations in an attempt to show the beauty and artistry of the somewhat familiar, usually overlooked and under-appreciated. My intention was to create a kind of snapshot of reality, a moment only valid for that single moment in time, something that couldn't be replicated. Lighting plays an important role, I have always been fascinated with how changing light can evoke emotion and create mood in images. Inspired by cinematography, the work is framed as if to replicate film stills. The subjects tend to be vacant in expression and withdrawn from their surroundings. I encourage people whilst looking at my work to formulate their own opinion on the subject. www.adrienblondelphotography.com
