Good Impactful Photography

People constantly ask us what makes a "good" photo. While we've also asked this question since first falling for photography, it's time for a rethink.

"Good" is not only highly subjective, it's a little boring and kind of meaningless. Is it good because it's got pretty colors? Is it loud? Is it trendy? Did it take technical skill to produce? Does it offer some pretense of (impossible) truth? Was it shot with a fancy camera? How can we be more specific or ask more thoughtful questions about why a photo works...or doesn't?

Let's say IMPACTFUL.

Show us impact. Show us blink and twitch. Show us earth-shaking. Show us something that will make us pause in all the noise.

We'll accept any photo-based media. While we prefer no AI, we're open to convincing

This project will culminate in a printed zine, Together, we'll bring your captivating images to life on the pages.
